Journey (n) Passing or a passage from one place to another.
As followers of Christ and children of God, we are on The Journey of our lives. Here at Delta Christian, we are choosing to mark out important milestones for our children. We believe these milestones are worth celebrating every time one is reached.
By forming partnerships between church and parents we hope to provide resources, encouragement and learning opportunities that make each milestone attainable for every child.
Through The Journey weekend events held twice a year, we will have
learning opportunities for every milestone that our children are working
through, as well as workshops for the members of our church who do not
have children at home but understand the importance of sharing their
faith with others.
Welcome to The Journey; we are so excited to travel it with you.
You can hear the messages, "Packing for The Journey", "Who is On the Journey?" and "Five Reasons to NOT do the Journey" here:
Deuteronomy
6:4-9 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the
Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all
your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon
your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you
sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when
you get up Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your
foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your
gates.
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All
authority has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age."
